Legal terms governing your use of the PlugdPay platform

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PlugdPay platform ("Platform"), a government revenue collection system operated by PlugdPay ("we," "our," or "us").

By accessing or using our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform.

Platform Description

PlugdPay is a comprehensive government revenue collection platform that serves:

  • Government Agencies: Local Government Areas (LGAs) and state entities across Nigeria
  • Vendor Administrators: LGA-specific management personnel overseeing revenue operations
  • Field Agents: Mobile app users conducting on-ground revenue collection activities

Our Platform facilitates digital payment processing, automated reconciliation, real-time reporting, and comprehensive analytics for government revenue streams.

User Accounts and Access

Account Registration

To use the Platform, you must:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Verify your government role and authorization
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
User Responsibilities

Users are responsible for:

  • Ensuring all transaction data entered is accurate and complete
  • Following established government procedures for revenue collection
  • Maintaining the security of their mobile devices and login credentials
  • Reporting any system issues or discrepancies promptly

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Platform only for authorized government revenue collection purposes. You may not:

  • Use the Platform for personal or unauthorized commercial purposes
  • Attempt to access areas of the Platform not assigned to your role
  • Interfere with Platform security measures or attempt unauthorized access
  • Misrepresent transactions or manipulate financial data
  • Share your account access with unauthorized individuals
  • Use the Platform in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

Financial Transactions

Payment Processing

The Platform processes government revenue collections through secure payment channels. All transactions are:

  • Recorded with digital receipts and audit trails
  • Subject to automated reconciliation processes
  • Monitored for compliance with government financial regulations
  • Reported to relevant government authorities as required
Transaction Disputes

Any disputes regarding transactions must be reported through official government channels. PlugdPay maintains detailed transaction records to support dispute resolution processes.

Data and Security

Platform security and data protection measures include:

  • Encrypted data transmission and storage
  • Role-based access controls and multi-factor authentication
  • Regular security monitoring and audit logging
  • Compliance with Nigerian government data protection standards

Users must cooperate with security protocols and report any suspected security incidents immediately.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain continuous Platform availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible.

We reserve the right to:

  • Temporarily suspend service for maintenance or security updates
  • Modify Platform features to improve functionality or security
  • Restrict access for users who violate these Terms

Limitation of Liability

PlugdPay provides the Platform "as is" and disclaims warranties beyond those required by law. Our liability is limited to:

  • Providing the Platform services as described
  • Maintaining reasonable security and data protection measures
  • Cooperating with government investigations and compliance requirements

We are not liable for losses resulting from user error, unauthorized access due to user negligence, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Government Compliance

This Platform operates under Nigerian government oversight and regulation. Users acknowledge that:

  • All Platform activities are subject to government audit and review
  • Transaction data may be shared with relevant government authorities
  • Platform use must comply with all applicable Nigerian laws and regulations
  • Government entities retain ultimate authority over revenue collection policies

Account Termination

Either party may terminate Platform access with appropriate notice. Termination may occur:

  • Upon completion of government contract or engagement
  • For violation of these Terms or government policies
  • As required by government directive or legal obligation

Upon termination, users must cease Platform use and return any Platform materials. Transaction records will be preserved as required by government retention policies.

Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in Platform functionality, legal requirements, or government policies. Updates will be communicated through:

  • Email notifications to registered users
  • Platform announcements and system notifications
  • Updates to the "Last Updated" date above

Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from Platform use will be resolved through appropriate Nigerian legal channels and government oversight mechanisms.
